Sunshine Dolls

Sunshine Dolls are designed and handcrafted at my home in Caloundra Queensland. I have combined a childhood love of dolls with an adult passion for fabrics to create an evergrowing range of fabric dolls. Some of the characters are mythical, some are inspired by the seaside environment where I live, others simply by the fabric itself.
Sunshine Dolls are designed to be enjoyed by all ages - for very young children I have a specific range. The bodies are made with calico, I use a variety of fabrics and accessories for the outfits and yarns for the hair. The dolls are filled with polyester fibre** and their faces are drawn with permanent pens. The outfits are designed to be removed and most may be purchased separately.
** I am developing an 'eco' range of dolls made from all natural fibres including the filling.

My Dolls

Sunshine Dolls come in 4 sizes: Haley, Aleisha, Ella (named after children I know) and Sweetheart. Images on the following pages show the different designs in my range. Due to the handmade nature of my product there may be slight variations in fabric and colour. Most dolls can be ordered in a range of hair colours and several dress options.
Dolls and most outfits may be hand washed in cold water with mild detergent and spun dry. The faces are drawn with waterproof pens but may smudge if in contact with any oily product.

You can also catch up with my dolls at our stall in Kawana Waters Farmers & Artisans Markets, southern end of Sportsman's Parade, Bokarina on Saturdays 7am - 12pm and the Caloundra Bulcock Street Markets (near the Minchinton St. roundabout) on Sundays from 8am - 1pm.
